Big Christmas Cuppa Brews Joy and Generosity!

3rd Dec 2025

The festive season has brought warmth and cheer to our school. The P4 pupils, guided by Classroom Assistant Niamh Creighan and supported by other P4 staff, hosted a delightful Big Christmas Cuppa fundraising event. The goal was twofold: to raise funds for Autism NI and to purchase additional sensory resources for school.

This wonderful idea began when the P4 class, who presented their proposal to the School Council. Their suggestion was met with unanimous enthusiasm, paving the way for a day filled with community spirit and festive fun.

Parents and grandparents of the P4 pupils joined us for a celebratory cuppa, enjoying a fantastic selection of homemade treats kindly provided by families. Adding to the festive atmosphere, guests were treated to entertainment from the talented P7 class, who performed carols and seasonal music, alongside some of our gifted pupils showcasing their musical talents.

Later in the day, all pupils in the school were invited to purchase treats, creating a buzz of excitement and plenty of smiling faces throughout the school.

This event also highlighted our school’s ongoing commitment to supporting Autism NI. We are proud to have worked closely with the charity over the years, earning the prestigious Autism NI Champion’s Award in 2024—a testament to our dedication to inclusion and awareness.

Autism NI has been chosen by the School Council as the charity for this academic year, and the Big Christmas Cuppa was a perfect way to kick off our fundraising efforts. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed, attended, and helped make this event such a success. We look forward to more exciting events in the months ahead as we continue to support this important cause.
