Primary 2 have continued to enjoy their weekly reading with Primary 7. The pupils are growing in confidence in reading skills. Primary 7 pupils encourage, talking about the picture and explain new vocabulary. Pupils are more confident using phonic abilities to work out unfamiliar words and are ably support by their Primary 7 reading partner. Children have an opportunity to choose from a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts and an ethos of reading for enjoyment is promoted throughout the sessions.
