The parents of Primary 3 and 5 children attended the Parental Involvement in Numeracy information afternoon focused on developing a more positive attitude towards Numeracy and making the subject fun.
We look forward to hearing about which games are most enjoyable! The P.I.N programme will last for six weeks and each week the children will receive new games to play. The aim of the P.I.N programme is to develop children’s confidence and understanding of Numeracy through a fun and enjoyable approach.
Tips for helping your child to enjoy maths:
- Point out the different shapes to be found around your home.
- Take your child shopping and talk about the quantities of anything you buy.
- Let your child handle money and work out how much things cost.
- Look together for numbers on street signs and car registration plates.
