P7 Online Learning during May!

Thank you to the P7 children and families who have been continuing to work hard and find out new things during this online learning time of May. I appreciate the support and I am glad to see a mix of fun and learning:

Some ideas included:

  1. COVID 19 time capsules and poems (Literacy)
  2. New sports such as basketball and fishing ( PE)
  3. Developing new skills during cooking, making smoothies or a rubix cube (HE/ PDMU)
  4. Mental Maths and phonics activities (Literacy/ Numeracy)
  5. Data Handling such as Venn diagrams, Carroll diagrams and bar charts (Numeracy)
  6. Holy Orders, the order of the mass and May altars (R.E)
  7. Mental Health Week/ showing kindness (PDMU)
  8. Transition activities for secondary school (PDMU)
  9. Sudoku and other challenges 
  10. GAA/ researching our country and culture (WAU/ PDMU)
  11. Farm safety (PDMU)
  12. AR reading/ Activ Learn/ Mathletics/ Coding (ICT/ Literacy and Numeracy)
  13. New dogs or pets

There even was a video of the recent storm over the weekend and check out Oisin doing the Rubix cube in what is a very impressive time. Maybe he could challenge the world record time. It's great to connect with you and see the nice activities you are getting up to.

We now are entering the last month and final part of term so make sure to keep learning new things and enjoy your time off! I know this isn't the way you or any of us wanted to finish the last term of P7 but we have to go with it and stay safe! We hope to meet again in the near future when it is safe to do so and we do have some P7 send off activities on the way so keep checking the school website for updates.
