My class P.5 and the school council went to Crom Castle to meet the author and comedian, David Walliams. We were all very excited to meet him. He read a chapter from his book ‘Gangster Granny’ which was very funny. Then he showed us pictures of him as a little boy, when his sister dressed him up as a girl. This is where he got his ideas for his book called ‘The Boy in the Dress’.
We all had our hands up to ask David Walliams a question and amazingly he picked me. My question was, “How did you think of funny characters?” He said, they were based on people he had met also some of the contestants that were on Britain’s Got Talent.
As I asked a question, I got to pick one of his books, 'The Worlds Worst Teachers' and he signed it for me.
He was interesting and funny. It was a great experience, which I will never forget and some day I might even write books of my own.
