Girls 5 a-side Success 🏐
28th Jan 2026
Well done to our brilliant P7 girls on winning the Fermanagh Cumann na mBunscol 5 A side football blitz today.
The girls had a brilliant day of football competing against other schools from across the county. They came through their group in second place, having lost their opening game to a very good St. Mary's Teemore team but winning the following three.
With every game the girls got better and better and grew in confidence. In the quarter final they beat a strong St. Ronans Lisnaskea team and in the semi finals played unbelievably well to win against a skillful Holy Trinity team.
In the final they again faced St. Mary's Teemore and both teams produced an excellent exhibition of ladies football with some wonderful scores and attacking play, with our girls just coming out on top.
Thanks to everyone involved with Fermanagh Cumann na mBunscol on the organisation of the blitz. The girls will go on to represent Fermanagh in the Ulster competition in March.
