Last week the boys and girls in P5 designed and built rockets. The children reused plastic bottles, discussed their design ideas in pairs and predicted how to launch their rockets. The children learnt that the gas produced by mixing baking soda and vinegar would create enough pressure to shoot their rockets towards the sky. There was great excitement in the playground as he children counted down to lift off.
